However, if you make some changes to the Buglist application to make it a bit more realistic in terms of the different levels of data access that people might have, the potential issues related to URL manipulation should become a bit clearer. First, instead of allowing the user to enter a free-format name into the Assigned To field, you ll make that field a list of people contained in the user_repository table. To do this, you will create a new LOV that returns the list of users in the user_repository table, as shown in Figure 5-4. The query to use for the LOV is shown in Listing 5-1.

The examples also illustrate how command-line arguments can be used to override the defaults given in the selected XML configuration file. This enables large numbers of minibench or charbench load generators to be created on a single client, each with differing configurations from the default, such as the use of multiple input data directories for the Calling Circle benchmark.

There are two standard methods available for developing benchmarks within Swingbench, either by using preprovided PL/SQL stubs or by creating entirely new benchmarks in Java. Using PL/SQL Stubs Using the PL/SQL stubs is the most rapid method for developing customized benchmarks. To install the PL/SQL stubs, run the script storedprocedures. sql in the sql directory against a schema to be used for Swingbench development. The schema must be granted execute permissions on the D M L C package B SO K to enable access to the Oracle Lock Management (OLM) services such as in the following dialog:
